What the AI Search Rank Checker is
The AI Search Rank Checker answers a narrow question marketers ask constantly: for this exact prompt, which brands do answer engines name first, second, and third — and where do we sit? You provide one query, your brand name, and your domain. We query model APIs for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity with that same string (not the consumer chat apps) and build per-engine leaderboards with your brand highlighted, plus a consensus panel that summarizes agreement across engines.
This tool does not produce an Answer-Engine Visibility score. Rank for a single prompt is a different job from a twelve-query visibility composite. Keeping those reports separate avoids mixing a leaderboard snapshot with a scored market check.
How it works
There is no query-generation step. The exact string you type is what each engine receives. We parse brand mentions and relative order from each answer, soft-fail engines that error, and render leaderboards you can screenshot for a campaign review. On-screen results are free; email unlocks the PDF export when you want a portable artifact for a client or exec thread.
Orderings move between runs. Models rewrite lists, hedge differently, or omit brands they named yesterday. Re-run important queries before a pitch, and pair this checker with Share of Voice in AI when you need category-wide presence instead of one prompt.
How to read the leaderboards
Each engine column is that model’s brand order for your query. Consensus highlights brands that appear across multiple engines so you can see shared winners versus one-off mentions. Absence from a leaderboard means we did not detect a clear ranked mention in that answer — not that the brand never appears in other prompts.
